Hello. Lovely to meet you.
We are The Legal Pod.
Each member of The Legal Pod is a highly experienced lawyer. We work together as The Legal Pod.
Some of us provide legal consultancy, some focus on a privacy compliance product
(and sometimes we go in house with a client for a time).
We know you need to get the law right, but understand it is a hassle so we keep it simple and make things easier for you.
We get to know you and become part of your team.
Want to know more about us?
The Legal Pod was founded by Karima Noren and Sophie Clifford. All our lawyers have years of experience. We have worked for some of the best organisations out there. From start up to IPO – we have seen and experienced how it is done.

More About Karima
Hi, I’m Karima. I started in the City at Ashursts, moved to work for technology companies and was Google’s second legal hire in Europe. At Google I launched products, lead the integration of acquisitions such as Doubleclick and rose to Head of Legal Emerging Markets.
After 8 years, I yearned to work with start-ups, so K Legal was born – a boutique legal practice providing personal, pragmatic advice to technology companies.

Sophie Clifford
Specialist employment lawyer
More About Sophie
I have been a specialist employment lawyer for over 20 years now. I’ve seen it from the employer’s side and the employee’s side. I’ve advised start ups, SMEs, big corporates, the UK Government and even work for the UN. I’ve been in courtrooms and boardrooms.
My focus is on giving really pragmatic advice to growing companies and the people working in them. My boutique legal consultancy is called Temple Employment Law. You will find what people say about me there. Things like practical, rigourous, collaborative and thoughtful.
Employment issues are really about people. What makes them stay, what makes them leave. What makes them perform, what makes them become disruptive (and no, not in a good way). So in addition to the hard edged legal advice, I co-founded the Resolution Pod – using mediation and other skills to find the win win in difficult situations.
I want to influence to help companies develop fairer, kinder, more productive workplaces so I partner up with Byrne Dean to deliver in company training on respect, inclusion, dignity (oh and disciplinary or grievance investigations).
For a quick fact sheet of what I do as a lawyer, how much it costs etc see here Temple – what we do and more
